The Bridge 1.0 Release Notes
Welcome to the first public beta release for The Bridge. This release includes:

The Ableton Panel
A view of Ableton Live from within Scratch Live where you can trigger clips, solo and mute tracks, control devices (FX and instruments) etc.

Ableton Live Transport Control
Load the Ableton Live transport to a virtual deck in Scratch Live
Sync Ableton Live to a regular audio file loaded to a virtual deck.
Internal playback controls

Beat Grids
Create and edit beat grids for your audio files, for tighter syncing with Ableton Live.

Intelligent Audio Routing
Ableton Live’s audio output is routed to your Rane hardware automatically.

Mixtape
Record mixes in Scratch Live which you can later open and edit in Ableton Live, adding FX, edit volume levels, timing etc.

To test The Bridge, you’ll need to own:

– Rane Hardware for Serato Scratch Live
– A registered version of Ableton Live 8 or Suite 8.

You’ll need to meet the minimum specs:

Mac
10.4.11 or better 10.5.8 or higher recommended
3 gb of ram minimum, 4gb recommended
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.33 ghz or better

Windows
XP SP3, Vista SP2 or Win 7 SP 1
Intel Core 2 duo 2.4 ghz or better
2 gb of ram minimum

You’ll need to download and install the correct versions of Scratch Live and Ableton Live which are available here:

www.serato.com

You’ll need to activate The Bridge. Simply open both programs together to activate The Bridge online.

You’ll need to read the user manual before testing, it describes the behavior that you should expect from the software. The manual is available here:

www.serato.com

The current software builds are feature complete and should perform as described by the manual. If you experience problems with them please search the beta forum to see if any other users are also experiencing your issue. If you cannot find any information about your problem then please post a bug report, try to provide as much information as possible. We will endeavor to respond to as many beta reports as possible but please be patient if you do not hear back from us right away.
